  • “It's a great stay. If you want a location idea, it's just beside a cafe named Terracotta, a little off from the main town. But that's the key: a river view from the top, and being a top-floor stay, it's fully surrounded by huge mountain peaks. All the rooms are quite good in shape, and the living area is the best. The Host is very responsive . Overall, a fantastic stay.”
  • “Pahadi Cafe and Homestay is a peaceful gem in Dharamshala! Beautiful location, cozy rooms, friendly staff, make it a perfect getaway. Truly a home away from home – highly recommended!”

Good to know

Common questions about trekking in Himachal

Who leads Himachali Guide treks?

Treks are run by Akshay Thakur, a local of Bharmour in Chamba district, with trek leaders from Himachal who know the trails, the weather and the villages.

How big are the trek groups?

Groups are capped at 15 people so the trail stays quiet and nobody gets left behind.

Which Himachal trek is best for beginners?

Triund is the easiest start: a two-day trek from McLeod Ganj to a ridge camp facing the Dhauladhar range. Kheerganga in the Parvati valley is another easy two-day option, and Kareri Lake or Hampta Pass make a good first multi-day trek.

When is the best time to trek in Himachal Pradesh?

Most high treks run from late May to early October. June and September to October usually give the clearest views; July and August bring monsoon rain on the Kullu side, while rain-shadow areas such as Lahaul and Spiti stay drier.

Where do the treks start?

Depending on the route, treks start from Bharmour, Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj, Manali, Kasol or Shimla. Each trek page lists the pickup point and base camp.

Do I need to pay to enquire?

No. Send an enquiry or message on WhatsApp and you will get availability and details first. There is no payment to enquire.

Do you have places to stay in Dharamshala?

Yes. We host The Pahaadhi Cafe & Stay, Ghonslaa Home 3BHK Flat and AASRA Paradise Hotel around Dharamshala, handy before or after treks such as Triund, Kareri Lake and Thatharana.
